Phillip Watkins

Executive Consultant

Phillip Watkins was born in Anchorage, Alaska, and raised in Dallas, Texas. He is currently an Executive Consultant at Raymond James, where he collaborates with corporate executives and companies to execute trades and provide education. In addition to his primary role, Phillip works closely with advisors and their clients to strategize, implement, and trade 10b5-1 plans for corporate insiders. He oversees the equity plans of more than 70 publicly traded companies, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment.

Before joining Raymond James, Phillip worked at E*TRADE/Morgan Stanley in the equity compensation department for almost four years. During his tenure, he helped clients navigate their equity compensation, executed trades, and referred customers to financial advisors to enhance their overall financial picture. He also processed stock plan escalation cases from service managers and relationship managers, reaching out to participants to find solutions for various issues with their equity compensation accounts. Phillip coordinated with different business partners across various operations teams to resolve escalated cases in a timely manner.

Phillip graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He obtained the Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation in 2022 and currently holds the Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65 licenses.

Outside of work, Phillip enjoys spending time with his family and friends, exploring the beaches and outdoor activities in the Tampa Bay Area.
